Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare includes and wide variety of characters and the ways they are portrayed through out the book. With all these different types of characters none are more intriguing then that of Marcus Brutus and Marcus Antonious (AKA Marc Antony). Both appeared to be loyal to Julius Caesar and Caesar befriends each of them. The only noble Caesar does not trust and worries about is Cassius. Brutus and Antony cause both the uprising and destruction of Julius Caesar and fight for what they believe is just.

Marc Antony is known for being a very noble man and for this Caesar insures complete trust in him. Antony is a strong- willed leader who only believes in what is right, not what is popular. This includes Caesar's adopted son, Octavius, running the city with Antony. Brutus's plans on the other hand included having absolute power with him and the senators controlling the city instead of running it. Brutus tries to obtain the same status that Caesar had and have the people of Rome believe that Caesar was an impure man.
