Living Day by Day

Life, in essence, is but a series of moments each unpredictable as well as precious. Dwelling on the future or the past can only lead to anxiety and therefore one should live life day by day. Buddha was

once quoted as saying that, "The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, or not to anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly." My philosophy on life is basic in that I believe that one should not dwell on petty insignificant problems, instead they should live each moment carefree and honest. Time will always correct the little things, and if you spend most of your days worrying you'll never actually live. Life should be spent being happy and content in your toiling, free from regret and apprehension. You should not live each day in mourning for the next. You should look forward to every day because they all present a world of opportunity.

Morality is defined as the " rightness or wrongness of an action." In effect, morality can signify values or beliefs. Morals take a part in our everyday lives. They are the basis for our

government and legal system and the framework for any conversation. They tell us what to

Now that I have pondered all of the idiosyncrasies and meanings of life I am now left of wonder why we are here in the first place? Are we here because of some great chemical reaction or is there a more spiritual reason? I am inclined to believe that the simple purpose, our reason for being, is just to help each other out in this crazy world and simply live. Are we here because of some chemical reaction? Most likely. But why beat your head about what you may never know? Why not just accept the fact that you are alive and make the best of it? That is what I believe. We are all here, living and breathing on this earth, and nothing short of a catastrophe will change that. So I don't see the point in arguing over how we got here. I instead believe in making the most of our stay. That then, in quintessence, is my philosophy: Live life to the fullest and make the most of every day.

do and how to act, as well as what is and what is not acceptable in today's society. My morals coincide fittingly with the laws and beliefs of Taoist Mysticism. The Taoists believe to be a "moral" or virtuous person you first have to find your inner unity. You need to be at peace with yourself. Secondly they believe in letting go of labels and prejudices. Chuang Tzu, one of the foremost leaders of the Taoist religion, explained this belief by stating that, " those who are highly evolved maintain an undiscriminating perception." A truly enlightened person should not
