The Twenty Years War
The Thirty Years War was a series of European conflicts that lasted from 1618 to 1648. The battles were mainly fought in Germany. The struggle was initially based on the religious conflicts among Germans by the Protestant Reformation, but it was later influenced by other issues, including dynastic rivalries. There were four periods in the war. The Bavarian Period (1618-1625). Finally the exhausted parties declared peace in 1648 at Westphalia. Conflict began when, on May 23, 1618, when the Protestants in Prague threw two Bohemian King Ferdinand II ministers of ministers out a window. This act was known as the Defenestration of Prague. he Holy Roman Catholic Emperor Ferdinand II. The Thirty Year War finally ended on October 24, 1648, when the Treaty of Westphalia was signed. The Treaty of Westphalia fundamentally influenced the later history of Europe. The treaty weakened
