In the year 2000 oil prices have been outrageous. They have sky rocketed to above $30 a barrel. But in 2001 they have been steadily sliding down, thanks to the economical slowdown, they have dropped to as low as $11 a barrel. Right now they are between $17 and $18 a barrel. OPEC is now eliminating some production and attempting to get some non-OPEC members around the globe to go around. Norway, Mexico and Oman have agreed to follow them.
