LSD
Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) is manufactured from lysergic acid which is found in ergot, a fungus that grows on rye and other grains. It is one of the most strong mind-altering chemicals known. LSD is considered a very dangerous drug because it stays in the body. The effects of the drug may sometimes be restarted again when the user is placed in a stressful place, this is called a flashback. The user has no control over when and if a flashback may happen.During the 1960s, LSD became popular as a mind expanding-hallucinogenic drug. The popularity of this drug began to decrease as its power and unpredictable side effect became known. In the last few years the popularity of LSD has increased. Teens today do not know of LSD’s bad reputation and mistakenly think it is safer than marijuana or cocaine. They use LSD for the visual stimulation, entertainment or just simply to get high. LSD was synthesized in 1938 by a chemist, albert hofmann, working for Sandoz Lab
