One of the biggest changes is Phinny begins to not believe things like how Phinny does not believe that World War 2 is really going on. You also see this when Phinny does not believe what gene is tiring to tell him about he made him fall off the tree. I think that if Phinny had just believed Gene when he first tried to tell him that he made him fall off on purpose then he might still be alive.
