With the overwhelming response to radio, many new stations started. This had the government create the Federal Radio Commission in 1927, to regulate broadcasting stations. Motion pictures also created another

big business, show business. People were appalled at the remarkable advancement in motion pictures. By 1929 there were 100 million paid admissions to movie theatres every weekend. Warner Brothers took motion pictures to the next step by adding sound. This combined motion picture and radio to give the movie sound. Radio and motion picture made the twenties the "golden age of sports" by allowing the game to be broadcasted over the radio and by taping the event to be shown all over.
