A Cure for Cancer

Over twenty different types of cancer have been found to exist in the world today. Cancer kills over thousands of people in the United States alone every year. The news constantly contains reports of the many different types of ways a human can get cancer. Finding a pattern is important because later scientists will be able to change this pattern and prevent cancer that is hereditary. The main goal of scientists now is to discover a genome map, which is the body's materials list. These are the direct instructions to each human body. It is similar to a blueprint. Scientists are very excited because the first working draft of the human genome has been completed. Scientists are able to research these cures through a lot of time, complicate machinery and extensive research of the human body.
