The US Constitution was originally intended to create a governmental system that truly respects liberty. In more ways than one, however, the Constitution actually limited personal liberties and was not designed to create a complete democracy. The Electoral College is one way in which our government is not a complete democracy and limits personal liberties. The Electoral College makes it so the popular vote does not necessarily give the win to
