Frank began his higher education at the University of Wisconsin studying engineering at the age of 15. In 1887, Wright left Wisconsin on a journey to Chicago. This early move forever changed Wright’s life and secured his dream of working in architecture. Wright became a draftsmen at a little known firm and designed his first home for his two aunts. Wright became frustrated with his small company and joined the famous architectural firm Adler & Sullivan. Adler & Sulliven was the most successful architectural firm in Chicago and Wright quickly began to gain a reputation for his innovative works.
