Jane's Love to Rochester
A detailed Summary of Jane's Love to Rochester
What I admire most and find touching is the self-respect, faith and persistence showed in Jane's love to Mr. Rochester. Jane may choose to be Mr. Rochester's mistress, but she does not. What counts most in life for a woman? Not money, not fame and not even love. Jane chooses self-respect and independence. She values love highly on basis of honesty and self-respect. Jane longs for true love, but she does not thus lose herself in it. To Jane, love is not blind.
