What is Pain?

What is pain? In the American Heritage Dictionary, pain is referred to as "an unpleasant sensation occurring in varying degrees of severity as a consequence of injury, disease, or emotional disorder. Pain is a very realistic problem that many individuals face daily. People can wear pain on the outside like a mask, hiding them from the world, but it also can hide deep within them waiting to be freed by some emotional outbreak. As for physical pain it will eventually go away, but emotional hurt will always be there under the surface deep down inside. When people are suffering emotional pain some turn to drastic measures, like taking their own lives. Pain is a very difficult feeling to deal with.

It is one of those feelings that everyone in there life will eventually experience. There is no hiding from it like death, which is another way of life it will always follow till the day.
