The word marijuana holds two very different meanings in today’s society. To parents it is a drug that is affecting their teenage children. Scientists have found that marijuana impairs all abilities by conducting extensive experiments and in depth research. However, many doctors see marijuana as a substance that can relieve, not cure, many sick people from their daily pain. They believe when used in moderation and in the right circumstances marijuana is a medical miracle. Many people look at marijuana as a drug that is very harmful to people that utilize it. Many people begin using marijuana between the ages of twelve and eighteen. It provides a form of entertainment when there is nothing else to do. People who use it for entertainment purposes receive no benefits from this drug. Marijuana contains more than 400 chemicals. When smoked, it generates over 2,000 chemicals that invade the body through the lungs. These chemicals have an assortment of instantaneous, short-term effects.
