I can?t even being to imagine the feelings the Native Americans felt as foreign people invaded their homeland nor can I imagine the emotions that the first white explorers had as they entered a whole new world. But, these two poems, one by an Algonkian people and the other by a Puritan minister, give some insight to what was going on during that time period and what happened when these two worlds clashed.
As I read these two poems, I noticed that both of them talk about the land. They both have a positive outlook on the territory. But the poem by the minister compares
