Mitch Albom's Tuesdays with Morrie captures the connection between a man and his college professor, Morrie Schwartz. Morrie is a retired professor of sociology at Brandeis University who was once one of Mitch's most respected educators. This factual narrative depicts the rekindled relationship between the professor and his student. Even though he is slowly dieing, Morrie is portrayed as a man who strived to live life to its fullest. This narrative depicts the extraordinary bond of comradeship that had once fallen wayside for many years, but was reenergized at a crucial time of both Morrie's and Mitch's lives.

Because I chose to help complete strangers every day, with no financial compensation, I feel that I have respect for human life, even after seeing the violence that man bestows upon his fellow human beings. But sometimes I feel pity upon the elderly and those that are dying and have become too feeble to interact with society. The way in which this book touched a cord was how we as a society need to view interacting with the old and dying.
