In the debate on abortion do the rights of the woman outweigh those of the foetus. Discuss? When a woman decides to have sex she is taking the chance of getting pregnant, even if she uses protection. If she doesn't want to get pregnant she shouldn't have sex, and she should be responsible enough to suffer the consequences. For example, Ann finds out that she is pregnant, so she goes and pays for an abortion. Next time Ann finds out that she has HIV, well she can't pay someone to get rid of her problem so she has to deal with it. Why shouldn't she have to deal with the fact of being pregnant? There are many other options to killing an innocent human: adoption or raising the child with the help of parents. However, some girls are forced to have an abortion! No matter the reason someone has for an abortion, it is still cruel. Some women are forced to have an abortion due to rape or incest. Under these circumstance is very hard to argue because the woman who is pregnant is not making the choice alone due to circumstances in which the child was conceived as the result of a crime committed against them.
