This story takes place in a small town in Alabama where three kids, Jem, Scout, and Dill dare to face their fears and a lawyer faces the public. The kids were curious about their neighbor, Boo, who they heard so much bad stuff about. One time they wondered off to see what he looks like. The kids almost got caught. They got scared and ran home. Summer vacation over and Dill had to return to his home until next summer. Jem and Scout had to go back to school.
