Compariosn Descriptive Essay
A detailed Summary of Compariosn Descriptive Essay
A few summers ago my friend asked me to go with her and her family to Corpus Christi. Never having been to the coast, naturally I was excited. After a never-ending night of packing and talking about what the week ahead would be like, we piled into the family van and began our trip. Driving through Corpus was nothing short of spectacular. I remember going over the bridge and feeling the summer air hit my face as I anxiously peered out of my window at the sparkling water flowing beneath me. When we reached the beach house of my friend I remember jumping out of the car so fast it caused my friends to laugh in amusement at my child-like reaction to this new environment.
I inhaled deeply, taking in the heated summer air mixed with the salty smell coming from the ocean water. Everywhere I walked I could smell the salt and marine life of this vast body of water set before me. The first night we were there we ate dinner at a quaint little restaurant set off a pier. The water glistened with the rays of the sun as if hundreds upon hundreds of diamonds were floating in this vast spectacle before me. Every day we went to the beach by the summer cabin. Sometimes if I looked out far enough you could see the different boats going back and forth looking for fish, and shrimp and whatever else this treasure chest held. Some of the shells scattered across the edge where water meets land were so incredibly beautiful, I had to pick some up and keep them for memories. Iridescent pearl colored, dark silver, and brightly colored purple shells filled my pockets. At night the city across the bay lit up with lights every night as the night life of Corpus Christi continued. I would sit on the deck and watch the moonrise as the sun set. The moonlight shone upon the water, as if sharing some secret story among its inhabitants. I can still close my eyes and vividly see it all. The first night on that cruise held so much beauty that whenever I feel the need to escape I close my eyes
