All survival situations put you in the 'wargame' of having to rely on your instincts to win through. But the problem is that life does not teach you the reality of or self when faced with the possibility of dying. The truth of the matter is that only when you have seen someone killed, regretted it, but thanked God that it was not you. To recognize that your only concern was for yourself in the society as a whole is not an easy lesson to learn. But those who do learn it quickly are the ones who are more likely to survive.

Also, the way in which we use our eyes and facial expression can show dislike, hate, mistrust and many other emotions which can cause the hijackers to feel that certain people are more likely to cause problems. The ideal way of dealing with this aspect of the situation is to avoid eye to eye contact. This does not mean to say that you should continually look away from the hijackers because they might view this as your displaying disapproval. If you are forced to look at the hijackers, then do so because to gaze elsewhere will again perceive by the hijackers as you are being defiant. Whatever you do is try to adopt a 'low profile' hoping that someone else would draw attention to himself and get punished instead of you. If you do all of the above, the chance that you are going to secure your release is high .
