As the business world progresses, more and more families have working mothers and fathers. Work days are longer than school days, so the children must parent themselves. Older children may be able to care for themselves, but younger children and those not yet in school are off to day-care. The family structure needed for a young child simply isnšt present. Americašs family life is plummeting because children are growing up in day-cares.
While it is true that children learn people skills at day-cares, they donšt receive a loving family feeling. Children at young ages need a family love that deals with their needs. While many day-cares do try to give a sense of love to the children, it is practically and logically impossible for day-care workers to give each child a parent-child love. Not only do the children outnumber the workers, but many children also donšt connect in strange environments. Children need the love of parents that day-cares are unable to provide because of the plethora of children.
So many children are growing up in day-cares that America has forgotten how to be a family. Children may be learning how to deal with each other, but they donšt have a sense of a truly loving family.
