Have you ever sat down in a class when the teacher is taking attendance? She calls out the name Ashley; everyone turns around and says, "Here." Then a funny look appears on her face as she realizes everyone in the class is named Ashley. What are the chances of that happening in this society? In the world names are very important to us because they describe who we are and where we cam from.

Names give each person a certain identity. The uniqueness of people's names makes every person an individual. We are all from different places in the world. Each country has names that originated from that country. This works for both first and last names for example say someone's name is Erin Smith. Erin is an old Irish name perhaps one of the person's parents was from Ireland and Smith is an English name hence the other parent could be from England. Names also help in separating a gro
