Eventually a stage is met in a relationship when a couple decides that marriage is the next step. When a relationship reaches this stage it can be a wonderful event that serves as a statement of your love and the wish to spend your lives together forever. Marriages have been taking place since the earliest recorded history. There is evidence that shows elaborate ceremonies joining couples together all over the world.(Shreeve, 1984) People enter a legal contract, which is basically what a marriage boils down to, for a number of reasons beyond that of love; religious, arraigned marriages, kinship bonds, pool resources (both financially and manpower), and because of children. Preschoolers will go through an assortment of feelings including anger, sadness, and anxiety. (Gardner, 1992) Boys will often times become restless, angry, and noisier. They will pull themselves out of group activities and sit alone or disrupt the activities of other children that play in groups. Girls will experience these things as well, though they are displayed in a different matter than boys. They will try to become "little adults," especially if they have siblings and the mother works frequently. That way they can take take over the role of the parent. These children will also be the children that can be found to scold children as if a parent or other role model position. Girls also more commonly turn their emotions into the way they live their life and they become overly obsessed with good behavior and being neat.
