I was an instructional assistant at a school for emotionally disturbed teenagers. Last May I was assaulted by a student during a crisis situation. I was in the process of restraining her; therefore, preventing her from causing harm to herself or someone else. Unfortunately she slammed the door so hard trying to get away from me the door bottom nearly cut my foot in half. My only concern was making sure the girl whose name is ironically "Angel" did not get past me and out the door. I felt as though I was in a knock down drag out fight with a six-teen year old girl. We struggled and fell to the ground but eventually I got the situation under control.

After the confrontation my neck and back started to bother me resulting on a trip to the emergency room that day. I arrived at the E.R. and had ex-rays taken of my foot and my neck. I was sent home and told to report to my family doctor in two days. By the next two days the pain in my neck and back had increased significantly. My doctor prescribed physical therapy, a neck brace, and pain medication; in addition, he had me off from w
