All three of the world's major religions, Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, preach against the legalization of cloning humans. All three claim it is immoral and goes highly against what their religion teaches its followers about life and how it should be created. Followers of the Jewish and Christian faiths are all firm believers that God is the sole entity that should have the power to choose the variables having to do with human life. Cloning clearly goes against those teachings, and in many views lets humans step up to the roll of playing God. Through an Islamic view, as well as many others, it is wrong because Allah teaches a way of life in which children are to be brought up in the central family unit being comprised of a father and a mother (McGee 233). All three religions feel this way about the family unit raising a child through love, and most importantly through conception by a caring set of parents. Most all religions are against the practice for the reason that it veers away from the age-old concept of having children through the universally accepted method of sex between a responsible man and woman. If cloning humans was to be made a legal practice, advocates for religious and scientific organizations would be at each other's throats even more so than they already are, fundamentally causing more of an uproar than is needed over issues that can never be agreed upon.

Not only is cloning a human very difficult, but it also comes with a very high record of failure.
