Canada VS Afghanistan

The countries that are to be compared are Canada and Afghanistan. Canada is located in northern North America, bordering the United States of America. The total land area is 9,976,140 sq. km., and 755,170 sq. km of it is water. Canada is the second largest country in the world, and 85% of its population is concentrated within 300 km of the US/Canada border. The climate in Canada is moderate in the south and artic in the north. Natural resources are iron ore, nickel, zinc, copper, gold, lead, molybdenum, potash, silver, fish, timber, wildlife, coal, petroleum, natural gas and hydropower. Afghanistan is located in southern Asia, and it shares its borders with Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China and Turkmenistan. The total land area is 647,500 sq. km., and there are no bodies of water. Afghanistan is landlocked, meaning there are no b


odies of water adjacent to it. Its climate is arid, providing cold winters and very dry and hot summers. Its natural resources are natural gas, petroleum, coal, copper, talc, lead, zinc, iron ore, and salt.

Canada is considered a high-tech industrial society, and the economic system of Canada is quite similar to the United States. The GDP of Canada is 4.3% and the average yearly salary is $28,000. Canada has many agricultural products they include wheat, barley, oilseed, tobacco, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, forest products and fish. The economy in Afghanistan is not the same as it is in Canada. Afghanistan is extremely poor, due to the fact that they are a landlocked country, they do not produce as much agriculture as Canada does.
