A detailed Summary of Reconstruction
During the second inaugral on march 4th
1865 president Abraham Lincoln called for Americans to
loose their hatred to one another and to become
charitable in order to be firm in seing that the rights
that God put in store for each of us are seen in the
right way. He called for all to bind up everything that
was lost in the war and look to the future so that they
would have peace among themselves as a nation and with
other nations in the world. but there was a real big
problem as to reconstruction that would not be solved by
words only but by actions. The south was physically
devastated and socially emanispated, how would they
reconstruct this? There was also the question of how
liberated black men and women would fare as free men and
women. The southern states had to be rerintergratted
back into the union and above all they did not know who
would direct the whole reconstruction process.it is
obvious that with all these prospects at hand that there
would be someone gaining and someone loosing.
The slaves had at this point already been freed, but
with all the emancipation and hatred towards them in the
south they were somehow forced to be re-enslaved. Not

laborers. In addition, the advantage of regulating
occupations provided them with laborers. In South
