In teenage relationships, a major reason why breakups are unavoidable is the lack of parental approval. When the parent of one of the teenagers in the relationship forbids the relationship to continue, one of two things happens. The lovers are separated and eventually learn to move on with their lives, or the couple will rebel against the parent's wishes.
