A detailed Summary of Oppresion

What exactly is oppression? Is it being seen as a lower people or just being

made fun of? Is it something that minorities receive from a so-called higher class?

For instance, in "The Ways of Meeting Oppression," Martin Luther King, Jr. states

that Moses tried to lead the children of Israel from the slavery of Egypt to the

freedom of the Promised Land. Only too soon did he discover that slaves do not

Another thing that we deal with in our lives is something known as human

territories. This is something that we all are part of even if we don't know it. To

illustrate my point, take a look at your home life and think about your room. Is

your room something that you like to keep open to the public or is it something

you like to keep to yourself? This is what is known as territorial behavior. Another

good example is the friends that people have. We always try to keep our closer
