A detailed Summary of 1984


This novel is a classic novel written in the year 1949 in prediction of the year 1984. It tells the story of a man, living in a time when freedom does not exist, attempting to break free of the government and to live a "free" life.

Before reading this novel, it is almost necessary to read the appendix, which explains the basis of the language used in this book. This language was invented to lessen the amount of words in the English vocabulary, and has thus far done so.
