I do agree about having the right to own a gun for the purposes of keeping it in your home for your protection. Although I would like to see mandatory classes given to anyone planning on purchasing a gun. This would teach them how to properly use and care for a gun as well as having knowledge in where to properly store the weapon and the safety features that can be purchased to help prevent the accidental use by another person.

Currently I am in the hiring process for the Oakland Police Department which has allowed me to go on numerous ride-a-longs. I have seen young and old people shot, mainly due to gang related activities. Most of the people that I have seen are children ranging in the age of 12 to 20 years of age. Kids that are killing kids. Obviously something needs to be done about gun control in our country.
