Don Quixote is a middle-aged gentleman of La Mancha who reads one too many books of chivalry and decides to become a knight. He polishes an old suit of armor, takes a mischievous peasant named Sancho Panza as his squire. In medieval times, knight-errants roamed the countryside of Europe, rescuing damsels and vanquishing evildoers. Don Quixote, formerly QuixanaHe was a wealthy, intelligent farmer who read too many books about knight-errantry and went crazy.
