A detailed Summary of Loyalty


There are many different perceptions and definitions for loyalty. Everyone considers loyalty to be defined as respect, honesty, love and patients. I am going to spend the next five minutes explaining a new way to look at some forgotten definitions of loyalty and what it consists of.

I know that you have heard of devotion, but have you ever consider devotion being related with loyalty. When you have certain task and responsibilities you become devoted to completing them and staying on top of your game. You become devoted to performing at your very best and you make sure the least amount of mistakes is made. If you dig deeper you will see that being devoted to something is also a way of being loyal. Strive to be devoted to what you are trying to accomplish and you will also find yourself being loyal to what you are doing.

Now I want to talk about another way to look at loyalty. I am going to assume here and say that everyone in this room has a type of religion they follow. In religion you become devoted to your religion. You are righteous, you believe, you follow, and you become faithful to your religion. In my line of work I have found that myself and my co workers have to be everything that I have talked about so far, but lets talk about a few other things that may be expected or looked for in someone that is planning on becoming or is a security guard. First off, I believe that a person must be trustworthy. They must instill in there clients mind and anyone who may enter the site they patrol that the are trustworthy. They also need to show their employer that they are trustworthy. You should be trusted that you are cable of performing at your best at all times, you should be trusted that you take your job serious, you should also be trusted to handle any situation at any time in the proper manner. You can see that being trusted can be a very stressful objective, but if you strive everyday to make sure that everyone that you come into contact with believes you are trustworthy then you are also being loyal to him or her. Again you have to be loyal to what you do and how you appear doing it. You have to be loyal to your employer, clients, and anyone who passes through your post, to do this means you become a trustworthy employee.
