Nation of Immigrants

A detailed Summary of Nation of Immigrants

America is a nation of people from all over the world who want to live in a country where they can live in freedom and pave the way for their children. This nation was created on the foundation of freedom and liberty. I believe that the leaders who created this nation were well aware that they were building a nation where immigrants would choose to live. The leaders of America created a nation so that different nationalities of different religions can live in a country together in peace. The United States of America is a nation of immigrants because it was created by immigrants and for immigrants. It is not by consequence that the government was based on democratic values but it is by deliberate actions by our leaders to create a nation where people can have freedom and liberty no matter what race they are or what they believe in.

The United States of America has a greater responsibility than any other nation in the world because it provides a home for many different nationalities and many different religions and therefore it must understand the morals and values that shape the American society. Emma Lazarus wrote a poem, The New Colossus, in which she wrote," Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearn

America was created for the people of the world to live in a nation where they can be themselves. I believe America is not a race but it is an ideology of values. Being American means being free. This nation was based on these same values that we now believe in. Whether we are from Europe or Asia, whether we come from a communist country or a socialist country we all believe in these values because we chose to come here. Some people might not understand why they're here but they do know that they want to live in a nation where they can believe in whatever religion it is they want to believe in or whether they can vote Republican or Democratic. The American people consist of many different nationalities and religions, immigrants who believe in this nation and fight for it whether it is in war or at home. I believe that the American values do determine our immigration policies. But immigration is not about one factor but it affects different factors such as labor, politics, and the economy. We must understand all of these factors before we make a choice in letting people in. Before, we let people in because we needed more people or because they had to escape their country but if we keep doing that then the other countries will not have enough population to survive, therefore we must encourage other nations to serve their people and not themselves so we can have countries that believe in democracy and freedom. I believe that there must be some reforms in the U. S. immigration policies because people who want to
