The Storekeepers Law is sure to convict most shoppers who read it...if they are honest, about their shopping tactics. As a female shopper, I have enjoyed two primary things (which both take a great deal of work) and they are shopping and getting a great bargain or as I often say, "getting a steal of a deal of a lifetime of a sale".

As a consumer, my perspective has always been that a storekeeper is there to provide great service while extending undivided attention and patience to the consumer. Whether window shopping, doing price comparisons or planning to purchase, the thought never crossed my mind that I could be deceiving the storekeeper, and hence, robbing him or her of their time when inquiring about merchandise I have no intention of purchasing. There have been many occasions when I shopped for the sake of having something to do; some place to go

As for the woman who wished men would live by the Storekeeper Law - I believe that she the mindset of a storekeeper is necessary here. Shopper's can admire the merchandise but the storekeeper must exercise caution and think a second time before allowing them to "handle" the goods - until commitment is made and paid for in full!
