Capital punishment is only used for certain crimes that fall into a serious category for the death penalty to be used. In my opinion, I believe the death penalty works and is an excellent form of punishment. One reason I believe this is because I don't think that someone should be able to live their own life if they took someone else's life or intended to take someone else's life. Even with diseases were the person is mentally ill and doesn't no right from wrong.
