Problem with Teenage Gambling
Gambling, a past time in america that has become as much of a hobby as coin collecting. Something that as a result more than 5 million Americans have become pathalogical gamblers, half of which are young people ages 12-17. When you think of compulsive gambling you would tend to think it would be more of an adult problem, but it isn't. Due to technological advances this problem is becoming a traumatizing teen So today we're going to hit this problem hard, anaylize the problem as a whole, getting to the root of the problem by discussing the causes, and then we'll look at some ways we can solve and hopefully prevent this epidemic from growing. According to the Feb. 28, 2001 JAMA, about 10-15% of yound people surveyed in the United States and Canada report having experienced one or more significant problems related to gambling, and about 1-6% of those surveyed could possibly have satisfied the diagnostic criteria for pathological gambling.
