Police on the highways had seen the biggest traffic jam in the history of road life. The highway leading to Bethel New York was stopped by "Hippies" parking their vans near the farm. The hippies had to walk some twenty miles from the congested roads to their camping spot.

Woodstock 1969 started out with many things going on in the world at the time. Woodstock was made to actually have young teens come to northern New York to rebel from war and celebrate that the Vietnam War was over and that they wanted it to stay that way. The teens and kids that came were either rebels or hippies.

When Woodstock came to the end, the promoters got onto the stage to thank Mr. Max Yasgur for donating his farm.

People came to know about Woodstock by having people talk to each other saying that they will go to Bethel, New York for the rock concert of their lives. The people that came were basically people who wanted to stop war and keep war away. One way that they got to know about Woodstock was that there were posters.

They then found a pasture called "Yasgur Farms". They thought it would be perfect. It didn't have any of the needs of the common man such as indoor plumbing and a minimum amount of electricity. It didn't have electricity and didn't have a water connection. They were thinking that this would be a good spot because of the massive size of it. They knew that they had a better place with their first choice but Lang had a feeling that about 100,000 people would come. He planned that there would be .5 million dollars for 100,000 people. The ticket prices were 18 dollars but since the fences for Woodstock were not finished, the people just went in without any form of a ticket.

Some of the problems during Woodstock were that there were some cases of casual sex, drug use, and the noise. The noise of this festival was so loud that it is said that you could hear this from a mile away. The only problem was that there were no police. The police didn't come because this was not a concert that was discussed in a town meeting and not government approved. Still, there were no problems. The only bad thing that happened was that 4 people died due to drug overdose. The hippies (love children) were not in for a fight, yet for a nice time for the love of the music.

People look back at Woodstock and see it as a riot in a way. The hippies didn't want to get violent so they protested to the public with this concert saying, "We will do what we want to do and you
