Book of Esther
The Bible is divided into two parts namely Old Testament and New Testament. The Old Testament contains 34 books and the New Testament contains 27 books. The book of Esther is one of the books of Old Testament. Esther reveals more about Jewish, identity during the Babylon captivity than about history. Esther saved the Jews of Shushan from the hands of Haman (evil). During the time, when king Ahasuerus promoted Haman, the son of Hammedatha placed his seat above all the Princess. Thus, all other king’s servants bowed down and obeisance to Haman. But Mordecai did not bowed down neither obeisance Haman. Then the king’s servant said to Mordecai, “Why do you transgress the kings Command?” The king’s servant asked Mordecai that why did he neglect the king’s order. One of the servants told Haman that Mordecai was a Jew. Then the king’s wicked minister, Haman, persuaded Ahasuerus to have all the Jews in the empire killed. Further, when Mordecai told this event to Esther, then they decided to tell the king that Esther was Jewish and to plead with him to spare her people from destruction.
