Labyrinth
A detailed Summary of Labyrinth
Thousands of questions arise when I think of a labyrinth. Of course, I thought that the simplest is - what it is? But, probably, I was wrong. The labyrinth dates back to prehistoric time, and is perceived as sacred space. It had been a part of many cultures, such as Celtic, Mayan, Greek, Cretan, and Native American. The word labyrinth comes from a Latin word, "labrys" which means "double-axe". On one hand labyrinths were built to protect, but on the other what if the person trying to be protected was lost in it. And so is with a double-bladed axe. It can be used to defeat the enemy as long as the other side of it does not defeat the allies. Labyrinths were used to protect different things. Labyrinth is a huge building with lots of rooms, long corridors, with hidden exit and hard-to-find enter. The Egyptians used them to protect riches and even important, bodies. In Cretian mythology, the labyrinth was built by Daedalus for King Minos to protect the people of Crete from a Minotaur. He was kept inside so he could do the people no harm. Labyrinths can protect, destroy, isolate or hide. They can entertain you for hours, but if you are trapped inside and can find no way out, it's becoming a torture. People s

"Your life is a sacred journey. And it is about change, growth, discovery, movement, transformation, continuously expanding your vision of what is possible, stretching your soul, learning to see clearly and deeply, listening to your intuition, taking courageous challenges at every step along the way. You are on the path... exactly where you are meant to be right now... And from here, you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing of courage, of beauty, of wisdom, of power, of dignity, and of love." fx
"The labyrinth is here to keep the spiritual dialogue open--to be a reminder that there are a number of paths to the sacred."
Our life is full of surprises and we do not know what will happen and where we will be tomorrow. We are trying to reach our aim, but we do not how. We wander, risking to get lost. We rack our brains over the question - is this the right way or not? The symbol of our life is labyrinth. The history of the labyrinth is long, complicated and confused. Exactly how the man's life is. As I have said before, our life is labyrinth, and labyrinth is choice. Every little choice we make affects our future, our life. I am not taking only about the choice in "spiritual" sense, but also the choice in business, work sphere. A big businessman or politician is different from just a huckster and alcoholic only with scale. The choice is treacherously disguised as a dead-end. If will not lie, steal, make friend with bandits and criminals, you can say good-bye to your hobby or "beloved" business, that brings you so much money, fame and moral satisfaction that becomes more important than life itself.
Walking the Labyrinth can help us to find peace, make decisions. Walking the labyrinth is a good way of relaxation, it is the journey to the center of your deepest self
