By definition cancer is a new growth of tissue resulting form a continuous proliferation of abnormal cells that have the ability to invade and destroy other tissues. Breast cancer kills by metastasizing or spreading through your lymph system or bloodstream to other parts of the body. It can arise on the lobes or lobules or ducts. There are two forms of breast cancer: ductal carcinoma, and lobular carcinoma. A carcinoma is a the most frequent occurring forms of human cancer. Breast cancer arises from the glandular tissue of the breast.
Chemotherapy are anti cancer drugs that are more toxic that hormones. The purpose of chemo is to try and kill any breast cancer cells that might have spread outside the breast. It also can/may stop tumor growth or shrink it, if the cancer has reoccurred. Chemo also slows progress of the disease and relieves symptoms. Unfortunately, chemotherapy has unpleasant side effects such as hair loss, nausea, increase in fatigue, and weaken immune system. A third way to help reduce and prevent the risk of cancer is staying fit. Walk or engage in exercise for 30 minutes or more 3 to 4 times a week. Also maintaining a healthy weight for your age and height is very vital in the prevention of cancer. Different treatments are used for each stage. This helps to prevent the cancer from progressing to another stage.
