Joseph Stalin went on to partake in one of the more memorable political careers of all time. He ruled the Soviet Union for over a quarter of a decade, and under his rule The Five Year Plans allowed Russia to make rapid gains in terms of industry, and the collectivisation of agriculture worked well after some initial hiccups.
