Ultimately, we need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. On an individual level, contacting authorities that are in charge of these fossil fuels is what the author suggests. The Kyoto Protocol was “watered down” into a weaker version in a conference in Bonn, Germany this past year. The good thing is that all nations with the exception of the United States support the new treaty. Japan, however, has yet to sign the Protocol, even though it originally had intentions to do so.
