The next sequence of shots are that of Neil slowly walking down the stairs in what looks like to be his last walk before his death. The slow consistent music is still played in the background. Most of these sequences are shot using shadows and minimal outside light. We then see Neil holding a key and opening a draw in his desk and grabbing out a gun wrapped in a cloth. The camera in this shot solely focuses on the open draw and its contents and Neil's hand pulling out the gun. Minimal lighting is also used in this shot.

The scene is switched to Neil's parent's room with his father taking off his jacket and his slippers and hopping into to bed. The slippers symbolise neatness and order in the house. The camera zooms in on the slippers while Mr. Perry turns off the light. With this we can hear Mrs. Perry crying in the comfort of her husband.
