Everything we attempt to create must start with an idea or a thought out plan. Everything from painting a house to building a high-tech skyscraper, starts with an idea. This idea can be in your head or planned out to the last minor detail on paper. In order to carry out a project we must have a plan of action and the ability to make it happen. Architecture is the idea and the carrying out of that idea. It is the very beginning of the project and it is the result that will stand firm for a long time to come.

Although, architecture was not considered a true profession until the nineteenth century, it has been around for thousands of years. The first houses built out of mud and wood were actually architecture.
