I believe that the empty self refers to the lack of Spiritual growth in the lives of today's Christians . The absence of this maturity leaves Christians stranded without the proper tools to influence and impact their world and culture for Jesus Christ. The empty self has four main characteristics of the empty self. Individualism: thinking about oneself without considering their role in the world around them. Self-centeredness: thinking only of oneself and forgetting everybody else. Infantile ness: being completely centered around how you look and feel. Passiveness: having to be entertained, not bein
