A detailed Summary of Feedback Essay
Definition : " Feedback is comments or information about the
quality or success of something".
Feedback comes in two different ways: -
1. Positive - this will encourage the performer and fill them with confidence and make them feel good in what they are doing.
2. Negative - when this is given by constructive criticism this actually will give determination to the performer and encourage them to do things correctly but when harshly criticised, for example, spectators and the media, this can make a performer feel low which will lose them confidence and hence them not performing as well as they can.
Here are the different types of feedback that can be given to the performer, for example there is .........
Intrinsic Feedback - this is sometimes referred to as internal or inherent feedback, this type of feedback comes from within the performer from the propriceptors. When a golfer swings at the ball they can feel the timing of the arm movement and the hip movement in conjunction with a perfect strike of the ball. This is also referred to as kinesthetic feedback.
Extrinsic Feedback - sometimes referred to as external or augmented feedback, this type of f

The following shows who the main sources of feedback are, and to express this feedback I will use for an example the performance of a Premiership footballer.
Coaches - while teaching you would give extrinsic feedback which would be positive and negative but this time the negative feedback would be constructive criticism, which would not down heart the player but help and encourage him/her on how to improve skilfully and how to put things right.
3. Advanced (18+) - all feedback from all sources can be expected to be used.
