Feedback comes in two different ways: -

1. Positive - this will encourage the performer and fill them with confidence and make them feel good in what they are doing.

2. Negative - when this is given by constructive criticism this actually will give determination to the performer and encourage them to do things correctly but when harshly criticised, for example, spectators and the media, this can make a performer feel low which will lose them confidence and hence them not performing as well as they can.

Intrinsic Feedback - this is sometimes referred to as internal or inherent feedback, this type of feedback comes from within the performer from the propriceptors.
