The word Euthanasia originated from the greek language: eu meaning “good” and thanatos: meaning “death” . The most common meaning given to the word in modern times is “the intentional termination of life by another at the explicit request of the person who dies.” Euthanasia usually implies that the act must be initiated by the person who wishes to commit suicide. Some groups define euthanasia to include both voluntary and involuntary termination of life. Like many issues dealing with death and dying this issue has many moral/ethical/and religious questions. The topic Is strongly debated whenever the practice comes into question.
