With the idea that Celie never was able to solve her past problems with her father, she will have to live with the fact that she was rapped by her dad. Without going back and facing her father, left her with a hole in her heart for life. The author had left out a few area's that could have been expressed to have made Celie feel better. When he died, he did it living a life of abuse whether he was he taking it or living it as a child. He was never controlled of the situation.
