In people's life there is a point, a main focus, that causes that person to become what they are. For me that point or "focus" is music. To me it's more than just music, and it is involved, in some way, in virtually every aspect of my life. It is also what I hope to support myself on in form or another. That is my ultimate dream.
Music governs my life everyday, and not just when I'm singing, playing guitar, or studying music theory. It influences my life every time I hear a song and every time I even think about music. When I wake up the first thing I do is turn on music. It starts my day and gets my brain flowing in the morning. This is an essential part of my life as I find listening to music in the morning helps calm me down whenever things get hectic during the day. Then I go to choir and vibrations, all in a row. This aspect is the only time I regret it because I have to put so much time into it, wheth
One question I constantly ask myself and others ask me is why music is such a huge part of my life. It is such a monstrous part of my life because it is my dream to be able to support myself by it someday, whether I'm a rockstar, or if I just own a music store. It's also because I don't think I view music quite the same as others. I see it as not only notes on a page and something to express feeling with but a tool of communication that affects the performer and all that listen to it, causes them to think and maybe think or open their eyes to something new. Music helps me reveal a part of myself I am not comfortable sharing in words. When I'm talking bout something it might come out as rambling but in song it is perfectly articulated. In a way music is a comforter, letting me know that people I've never met, feel and have gone through situations that are similar to what I've gone through before, even though we come from totally different places. To me life is one huge song, and not in some over-played cheesy way. Everyone has his or her own song, each
