In my opinion acting is the ability for a person to convert to a new character. They act, speak, and think differently as oppose to the character that they normally would be. Acting is a great type of art. One that you can see, hear, and sometimes even touch. They make you laugh, cry, and sometimes they may even scare you. Acting can be an exit to your ordinary every day life. It is a portal, which takes you into a character that you want to be. It may relief your stress and above all it is pleasurable.

August 27 I had the opportunity to go se a Broadway musical show. I went to see Rent by Jonathon Larson. I was dazzled when I went to see this great show. Although I am not a Joey Fatone fanatic I still admired the role he played as Mark. What I most like about this show in particular was that it was modern. It portrayed different relationships among different people. There were straight relationships, homosexual relationships, and lesbian relationships. The


In this class of theater 136 I want to see if I have it in me to be a great actor. I want to act and be someone opposite the person I am. I want to build courage and not be afraid. I want to surpass all obstacles and create a new persona. Above everything else I want this class to be amusing and exciting an exit out of my other prestigious and tough courses.

My favorite all time actor is Danzel Washington. He is simply awesome. He puts a great performance all the time he does a movie. My favorite role that he has played has been in the movie The Hurricane. In this movie Danzel Washington acts the role of Rubin Hurricane Carter. His character was simply heart moving. At the end of the movie when he says " hate put me in here, love is going to bust me out" I started crying. It was simply remarkable. Yet when I compare his role of Rubin Hurricane carter to that of Alonzo in Training day we can see why he is such a great actor. He transformed this sweet innocen
